Low-voltage Track-powered Electric Flat Car
Electric Flat Car introduction:
The KPD series low-voltage track power supply electric flat car is a 36V low-voltage track power supply type electric flat car, which is powered by the track sliding contact line to start the electric flat car.
Since there is no cable, it is safe and reliable in the running process, not afraid of being smashed, not afraid of being burned, not hindering cross-transportation, and it is easy to realize remote control and automation, which brings great convenience to the plant layout.

Working principle of KPD type electric rail car:
The ground step-down transformer control cabinet steps down single-phase AC 380V to single-phase 36V, feeds it to the flat car through the rail sliding contact line, and then boosts it to single-phase AC 380V through the on-board step-up transformer. It provides power to the single-phase capacitor motor for the flat car.
Since the starting current flowing through the track when the KPD flat car starts is very large (up to 1000A), there is a large voltage drop at the end of the track at this time, which causes difficulties in starting the single-phase capacitor motor, so the maximum load tonnage of the single-phase KPD flat car is 50 tons.
The KPD series of electric flat cars has relatively high requirements for the track. Because it uses the track for conduction, the track must be insulated. When it exceeds a certain distance, copper bar compensation lines should be added to compensate for the step-down. When the running distance is relatively long, the number of transformers needs to be increased.

KPDZ not only inherits the advantages of the KPD flat car but also avoids the shortcomings of the original model such as difficult starting and short running distance. It is not easy to burn out, has a large starting torque, strong overload capacity, and can still work reliably under the condition of under-voltage.
