Zhuzhou Tianqiao Crane’s “Intelligent Robot” special project passed the acceptance

Recently, the comprehensive performance evaluation meeting of the project “Robot Working System for Non-ferrous Metal Casting Process” under the national key research and development plan “Intelligent Robot” led by Zhuzhou Tianqiao Crane was held. Through strict assessment procedures, the project smoothly passed the acceptance of the intelligent robot special group of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

In the production workshop of Zhuzhou Smelter Torch New Materials Co., Ltd. located in Nanzhou Industrial Park, Luku District, the intelligent robot is automatically completing the processes such as casting, slagging, ingot trimming, coding and handling in the smelting process of non-ferrous metals according to the set program, greatly reducing the labor intensity of workers, and both the production efficiency and product quality have been effectively improved.

Wu Lichong, director of the R & D Center of Zhuzhou Tianqiao Crane Co., Ltd.: The goal we currently put forward is to achieve a comprehensive efficiency of more than 20%. Our three production lines have now completely exceeded this goal.

The “Robot Working System for Non-ferrous Metal Casting Process” is led by Zhuzhou Tianqiao Crane and jointly forms a research and development team with 10 units such as Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Central South University, Nankai University, and Zhuzhou Smelter Group. After more than four years of continuous scientific research and tackling key problems, this system can now be applied to the entire process of non-ferrous metal casting production such as zinc, zinc alloy, and lead, realizing intelligent operation in the production process, obtaining independent intellectual property rights, and having 23 invention patents, 3 standards, 30 papers, and 8 software copyrights. The expert group believes: “The project has developed robots such as high-temperature casting, slagging, ingot trimming, palletizing, laser marking, and labeling for the working environment in the non-ferrous metal casting process, and has developed a non-ferrous metal casting robotized production line with functions such as real-time monitoring, remote adjustment of process parameters, and data analysis, achieving the application demonstration and project goals of the three lines. It is recommended to further promote the market-oriented promotion and application of the results.”

All the three demonstration lines of us are domestic robots. In terms of the market promotion process, our entire production line from the localization of robots to the system integration of our entire robot production line is a complete system solution. In this way, from the data source, our quality can be traced, and the product quality is greatly guaranteed.

At present, this system has established three demonstration production lines in Zhuzhou Smelter Group and Henan Yuguang Gold and Lead Co., Ltd., and is planning to fully promote to the market.
